Sigma Leaders Meet in Nashville to Focus on Programmatic Thrust

Dr. Bennie Harris, Director of the Sigma Academy, Dr. Joseph West, National Coordinator for Sigma Health and Wellness, Dr. Mike Hines, former Director of Education and John White, Director of Social Action are scheduled to meet in Nashville December 16-18 to complete some important programming sub-committee work for Sigma.
The group meeting is hosted at Lipscomb University where Dr. Bennie Harris serves as Vice President of Development. Other participants will be Executive Director Marco McMillian and Joseph Hill, Director of Diversity and External Partnerships with the American Cancer Society who will join the group on Tuesday.
The following is the list of work scheduled for the group’s completion:
- Complete the Center for Disease Control Grant Planning with Executive Director McMillian.
- Meet with American Cancer Society to complete draft of 2009 –2011 Partnership Agreement as well as hold discussion on Conclave sponsorship and program grant.
- Complete draft of revised March of Dimes Partnership Agreement with Executive Director via conference call with March of Dimes Leadership.
- Complete detail planning for Conclave New Orleans Leadership Conference Learning Labs and Workshops.
- Complete the development of Webinar Training for the roll of the Chapter Assessment and Awards, Achievement Process.
- Review all program reporting to complete the Fraternity’s first ever-International Program Annual Report.
- Complete the Development of the Building Strong Fathers Seminar Series for 2009 and prepare grant request for March of Dimes.
- Complete the Draft of the Awards and Achievement Handbook that was approved by the General Board
- Develop the text and outline for the Program Brochure and Video Presentation.
