Reverend Tyree A. Anderson

Brother Tyree Anderson is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and currently serves as the Executive Pastor at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia under the pastorate of Rev. Lee A Earl. At Shiloh he uses his gifts of preaching, teaching, and disciple and leadership development to empower those he encounters. Rev. Anderson is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and the Alexandria Chapter of the NAACP. He is also a mentor and confidant to many seminarians. Recognized by his colleagues as a rising scholar, Rev. Anderson holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an M.A. in American History from George Mason University, and a Masters of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University (STVU).

Brother Anderson was the 2002 recipient of the Evelyn Pugh Memorial Fellowship for Excellence in History from George Mason University. In 2005, Rev. Anderson served as the only student lecturer for the John Malcus Ellison Convocation held at STVU. He has also studied African Traditional Religions in Ghana, West Africa; and has lectured on Liberation Theology in Uganda, East Africa. Reverend Anderson also serves as one of the founding director of an international theological Christian Education program at Shiloh for The Soroti Pastors and Elders Fellowship (SOPEF) in Uganda.
