Brother Stephen D. Khalfani, Ph.D. has been a resident of Olathe, KS for the past 5 1/2 years, but is a native of Daytona Beach, FL. Dr. Khalfani is a Financial Consultant and Note Broker with ValKhal Financial Services in Lenexa, KS. Dr. Khalfani was inducted into Cambridge’s Who’s Who Among Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs in 2008 and is a member of the NAACP. His initiation year into the Phi Beta Sigma family was 1993. He also was honored as Florida’s Poet of the Year for 2004/2005, a finalist for the National Poet of the Year(2004), an International Society of Poets Inductee, alongside former President Bill Clinton and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Dr. Khalfani is also an Inductee into the International Library of Poetry. He is a former Certified Youth Mentor with the Leon County Juvenile Court system in Tallahassee, FL (1993-94). And in 1995 he was selected by former State of Florida Sen. Mathew Meadows, to be a Legislative Intern.

Brother Khalfani is also the Lead Kinjuru-jitsu and Combat Juijitsu Instructor in his Olathe, KS Dojo. Dr. Khalfani holds TEFL and TESOL English certifications from Oral Roberts University, in Tulsa, OK. Honoring his father’s heritage, he is a member of the Seminole Tribe(Nation) of Florida in Hollywood, FL and a member of the Tulsa Indian Club in Tulsa, OK. Brother Khalfani holds a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Bethune-Cookman University as well as a Graduate degree from Florida A&M and Florida State University in Public Management/Public Administration. He also earned a Ph.D. in Theology from Sutherland University.
