Dr. Ifeanyi Okonkwor
Brother Ifeanyi Okonkwor, Ph.D. born 35 years ago in Nigeria, Dr. Ifeanyi Okonkwor attended an all-boy, parochial high school in Nsukka, Enugu state of Nigeria. There he studied French, Literature, Geography, and Latin. At age 14, he won the prestigious Nigerian National Award in Science (Physics) and Math for his work on “Aerodynamics Analysis of Commercial Airliners”, and was selected as the captain of the school’s science club team. At present, Dr. Okonkwor is a Continuous Improvement Manager with DuPont Chemical Company located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA.
Dr. Okonkwor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin; an MBA from Keller School of Management; and a Doctorate of Healthcare Management (Operations focus) from Kennedy Western University. He is also an expert in Lean Manufacturing techniques, gaining practical experiences under the watchful eyes of the masters of the Toyota Production System (TPS), in addition to obtaining a certification in Lean from the University of Michigan. Dr. Okonkwor is also a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma methodologies, receiving his training from the GE (General Electric) Company and Villanova University. Dr. Okonkwor has taught various Lean and Six Sigma classes on-line and has facilitated various webinars in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Dr. Okonkwor is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American College of Healthcare Executives, Lean Enterprise Institute, The Six Sigma Academy, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Association for Manufacturing Excellence.
