Mr. Charles Talbert
Charles H. Talbert is the Director of Human Resources for Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP. Charles Talbert has been employed by the law firm of Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP in Chicago for the last 24 years. For the past 15 years he has been the Director of Human Resources, with generalist responsibilities including staff training and continuing education.
Charles received his Bachelors in Organizational Communication and his Master of Arts in Training and Development from Roosevelt University. He currently serves as a corporate advisor to Robert Morris College, consulting with seniors on their interviewing skills and resume design.
Charles has been an active member of Phi Beta Sigma since 1980, serving in various chapter, state, regional and international positions. He served as the Director of Publicity under the Arthur Thomas administration as well as the National Facilitator for the Constitutional Convention. Currently he serves as a part of the International Social Action Communication Team, and as an advocate for the March of Dimes March for Babies Campaign. Hailing from the Great Lakes Region, he served as regional director from 1991-1995, and has held the positions of vice director, secretary, director of collegiate affairs and Illinois State Director. Currently he serves as the Great Lakes Regional Director of Publicity.
Bro. Talbert has created and facilitated numerous workshops for the Fraternity, including workshops on publicity, award-winning chapters, leadership, chapter development, and the NPHC.
He has been a featured guest presenter of Black Greek 101 at the leadership academy of the North American Interfraternity Council; has facilitated workshops at the National Black Greek Leadership Conference (‘The Advisor from Hell’); has been a workshop presenter at the Association of Fraternity Advisors (‘Leadership Styles’), and has served nationally with the NPHC as the NPHC National Secretary and the NPHC National Director of Publicity. Locally, he has served as the president of the largest NPHC Alumni Council in the country (Chicago).
Charles is the father of one son – 18-year-old Matthew Aaron Talbert. Charles is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, and has served as president of the Adopt-A-Student Ministry and a church leader on the Executive Council. He also currently serves on the board of directors of The PassRite Educational Foundation, the 501(c)(3) educational/scholarship granting branch of his chapter, Iota Nu Sigma.
