Mind, Body, & Spirit – From Aspiration to Application

The 2009 Community Conference will have a specific emphasis on programs and conversations around health disparities elimination and Green Economy and opportunities for minority communities. Nationally renowned and regionally recognized speakers will address these agendas in minority communities. View Speaker Bios, (pdf 2MB)

Further, participants will be encouraged to evaluate their leadership styles, practices and organizations’ agendas to include strategic frames that consider the economic and societal impact of health disparities in racial and ethnic populations as a national concern, and engage minority communities in exploring opportunities to retool skills for a green economy.

Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins

Chief Executive Officer of Green For All. Prior to coming to Green For All, Ms. Ellis-Lamkins was head of the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council and Working Partnerships USA. While there, she earned her reputation as one of the nation’s most brilliant, inspirational and creative problem solvers for working families. She also earned a wealth of experience that will help her lead Green For All to new heights.

B.R. Burns

B.R. Burns is the Resident Poet on Love, Lust & Lies – The Michael Baisden Radio Show and can be heard every week performing live on the show. He also serves as the Opening Act for the tour of the same name.

B.R. Burns’ motto: “It is our imagination that allows us to imagine the unimaginable, but it is our belief in God and our will power that enables us to obtain it!”

Preston J. Edwards, Sr.
